Our journey to Ebony in China, and then life with her at home in Australia.
'ADOPTING A CHILD WON'T CHANGE THE WORLD, BUT FOR THAT CHILD, THE WORLD WILL CHANGE!'
Tonight we got together with another family from Tawonga and had a lovely time. Before we left Eb had a bit of fun practising her writing - which was fun. However the most of the fun was at Settlers Tavern!
We had a fun 'playdate' with one of Eb's friends from Kinder. I just love this photo of them both playing together on Eb's car- they had 'attacked' the lavendar but gee it made for a lovely photo!
I had only made a comment recently that I felt a bit sad that Eb hadn't been invited to any local birthday party's....well - how things change in a short period of time :)
Here's #1. Ashlyn is from Kinder and sadly she's not going to be around for much longer as she and her family are heading back to Perth to live. Eb will really miss Ashlyn - but at least they shared this special time together.
...and we had some great times together again. It's always so lovely to spend time with her!
She plays so well with Eb and obviously they adore each other!
On this first night I had accepted an invitation to a ladies night at our local Church. It ended up being a fun night where one of the activities involved getting a bunch of supplies and having to dress up a manakin. We were all quite impressed with the finished result and had a lot of fun on the evening.
Eb is still enjoying dance - especially now that I've decided to get home from swimming in Wodonga at least an hour before we have to leave for dance. She was falling asleep in the car and then I would have to wake her and get her dressed(in the cold change room) then it was time to start dance and she spent most of the time attached to me and not dancing until about the last 5 minutes! Here she is really enjoying her session.
My third Mothers Day. What made it so very special was my darling daughter singing at Church. She confidently stood up the front and sung 'Jesus Loves me'. My heart melted and I felt so proud and so blessed.....
After Church we headed to 'Gapstead Winery' and had an amazing lunch there. It was such a beautiful day and we ate WAY too much - but a great way to celebrate being a Mummy. The only down side was being bitten by a European Wasp - never happened to me before....and I hope it doesn't again! It was just near my elbow - must have been on the arm of the chair when I put my arm down. It even bit me through my top!
